Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 3 SEN (Animal Care and Curriculum) to join Pear Tree High School. This Grade 5 permanent post works 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £24,998, with a full‑time equivalent of £29,064.

Responsibilities:

  • Take a lead in the care of the animals in school, promoting responsibility, wellbeing and hands‑on learning.
  • Support the structured curriculum, lead with the resourcing and organisation within the structured department.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEN) with experience in animal care and structured curriculum.
  • Self‑motivated, empathetic, tactful with strong interpersonal relationships and collaborative working style.
