SENIOR FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER

  • Essential: strong FBP + Financial Services + Board/Exec insight reporting
  • £90,000 – £110,000 + package (incl. 30% bonus)
  • City of London (hybrid WFH 2 days p/wk)

Pear Talent is representing a private equity backed Financial Services business who have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner. Reporting to the head of the team you’ll lead engagement with key business functions driving efficiency and proposing strategies for growth. This will include helping these functions manage both BAU and project spend, providing budgeting and forecasting to aid decision making and achieve business objectives, as well as deliver MI and trend analysis to ensure all cost centre owners are achieving their targets. You’ll be expected to develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure business plans are understood, challenged and approved across functions.

You’ll be expected to be able to quickly gain credibility with senior stakeholders and own key business relationships, as well as demonstrate first class project management and communication skills. Work is often ad-hoc and project based.

Key accountabilities:

  • Understand the business, including the markets in which they operate, their strategies, risks, products and key drivers of performance.
  • Lead the analysis of business financial performance, MI, forecasts and contribute to regular monthly reporting to the group Exec.
  • Develop excellent MI reporting and tracking of strategic objectives using agreed KPI’s.
  • Provide financial and commercial decision support papers for review by ExCo and senior leadership, including the quarterly operating review pack providing business insight and challenge.
  • Budget, forecast and planning process to monitor and predict financial performance
  • Manage and develop relationships with the business units, helping to facilitate regular dialogue between business unit management and the head office.
  • Developing team members, provide personal development opportunities and ensure appropriate training and development plans are in place
  • Analyse investment proposals, acquisitions and corporate projects, on an ad-hoc basis.

Required experience:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant ACA, CIMA or ACCA with a strong academic record and previous experience in a similar Finance Business Partner or FP&A role within Financial Services.
