Pear Talent are partnering with a specialist organisation operating at the intersection of insurance, risk and climate resilience, on a newly created Senior Strategy Manager position. This is an opportunity for an experienced strategy professional to take a broad, high-visibility role within a small purpose-led organisation, helping shape its strategic direction at an important stage of its development.
Why this role?
This is not a conventional strategy role where you produce decks and hand them over. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, the Executive Committee and Board, helping turn complex market, commercial and external developments into clear strategic insight and actionable recommendations. The organisation operates in a rapidly evolving environment, with long-term questions around risk, climate change, insurance affordability, market dynamics and the future of the UK insurance market creating a genuinely interesting strategic agenda.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Help shape and evolve the corporate strategy and strategic priorities
- Identify emerging risks, opportunities and market developments
- Turn complex analysis and information into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers
- Work directly with senior leadership, the Executive Committee and Board
- Engage with major insurance organisations and senior industry stakeholders
- Influence strategic initiatives rather than simply advise from the sidelines
This is particularly well suited to someone who has built a strong strategy toolkit and is now looking for more ownership, broader exposure and the opportunity to see their work directly influence organisational decisions. You’ll join a talented, relatively small team where your contribution will be visible and where the strategic agenda is both varied and meaningful.
What we're looking for
We’re interested in people who combine strong analytical thinking with commercial judgement and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a strategy consulting or in-house strategy team
- Insurance experience is required
- Strong problem-solving and structured analytical capability
- Experience synthesising complex information into compelling strategic narratives
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
- Ability to rapidly gain credibility and influence outcomes at an Exec level
- First class project management and communication skills
