Pear Talent is representing an international Insurance and wealth management business who have an excellent newly created opportunity for a Manager Group FP&A and IR. It’s an exciting time as they work towards an IPO. Reporting to the Head of FP&A and Strategy, this unique hybrid role will shape the financial narrative — internally through rigorous planning, forecasting, and performance analysis — and externally through clear, credible communication with investors and analysts. Significant focus will be on supporting the business in preparation for IPO.
You will play a vital role providing strategic and commercial decision support and can expect regular visibility to Group CFO/CEO, as well as underlying business unit leadership.
Key accountabilities:
- FP&A: Understand the markets in which the business operates, the strategies, risks, products and key drivers of performance.
- Deliver Group's annual business plan and forecasts for Exco/Board approval. Key role in the annual financial plan, partnering closely with senior management across the business for delivery to the Board.
- Lead the analysis of financial performance, MI, forecasts and contribute to regular monthly reporting to the Exec.
- Investor Relations: Support engagement with institutional investors by providing financial analysis and insights. Create external group financial content and earnings announcements. Provide shareholder analysis, identifying trends and supporting with investor targeting. Attend investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows. Monitor market trends, peer performance, and analyst models; synthesize insights for leadership. Support relationship management with sell‐side analysts, buy‐side investors, and rating agencies.
- Business partner with senior management to challenge financial results and drive business performance.
- Dealing with ad-hoc requests and special projects as they arise.
Required experience:
- Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
- Strong Insurance FP&A experience.
- Prior Investor Relations experience advantageous (in‐house IR, equity research, corporate finance, or capital markets).
- Advanced financial modelling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey complex financial topics clearly to both financial and non‐financial audiences.
- High integrity and sound judgment in handling confidential and market‐sensitive information.
- Experience preparing materials for senior executives, board, and/or public markets (listed company experience ideally).
