Pear Talent is representing a FTSE100 Financial Services group who have an excellent opportunity for a Group Finance Manager reporting to the Head of the team as their deputy and potential successor. You’ll have a high profile role overseeing junior team members, with regular exposure to senior management and a good track record of internal progression.

You’ll be expected to partner across the business, managing and developing key senior stakeholder relationships, taking a leading role within a team that produce, analyse and deliver the group’s external financial reporting.

Key accountabilities:

  • Oversee and review the production of Group external financial reporting (IFRS), including new business, interim reports and analyst pack.
  • Analyse the consolidated group results to produce insightful commentary for the Exec/Board internally and external results announcements.
  • Oversee various disclosures for inclusion in the annual report and accounts, interims and reports to analysts.
  • Maintain a business partnering relationship between group financial reporting and key contacts in the business units to ensure a wider understanding of the underlying business at a group office level.
  • Take on significant roles within ad-hoc finance projects and initiatives.

Required experience:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with previous listed/group financial reporting experience in Financial Services or otherwise an Audit Manager/Senior Manager with a leading FS accounting practice.
