Pear Talent is representing an established financial services business who have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager on a 12mth contract in their Reporting & Financial Management team. The team is highly skilled and experienced with responsibility for all statutory, regulatory and management information reporting. In this role, you'll contribute across all deliverables, supporting the statutory reporting process from planning through to publication and providing support for a major integration project. You’ll play a key role in the annual report and accounts, business partner across the business managing key senior stakeholder relationships and take a senior role within a team that produce, analyse and deliver the group’s external financial reporting.
Key accountabilities
- Support production of all the external IFRS reporting including:
- The Annual Report and Accounts for the Group and its UK subsidiaries;
- The half‑year published Investor Report for the Group.
- New Group reporting requirements.
Required experience
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with proven post-qualified experience in a similar group/entity reporting within financial services (ideally insurance).
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Prior experience of insurance industry and the relevant reporting metrics - advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, prior experience of Oracle - advantage.
- Ability to influence key senior stakeholders and to analyse complex problems and propose solutions.
- Ability to create and deliver clear and concise written reports and to take existing processes and improve/simplify.
- Strong communication and influencing skills and ability to drive change and contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Open and actively seeks to discuss issues and share information.
