Our client based in Plymouth has been operating since 2000. In this time, their portfolio has grown to over 180 properties and they successfully operate their own letting agency and property maintenance company. They are ambitious, fast-paced, and proud of the supportive culture they have built.
An opportunity has arisen to join their friendly team as an experienced Finance Manager and lead their Finance Department. Reporting to the Directors, you will take full responsibility for the finance department's output, ensuring all accounting processes are executed with precision while providing professional leadership to the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, setting and reviewing goals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee accounts payable; supplier statement reconciliation, ensure timely payments.
- Oversee accounts receivable; ensure customers are invoiced accurately and pay on time, arranging debt repayment plans.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts; reviewing aged payables and receivables, reconciling control accounts, balance sheet, pre-payment adjustments etc.
- Daily bank reconciliations.
- Client accounting.
- CIS submissions.
- Manage intercompany transactions.
- Oversee weekly and monthly payroll processes.
- Conduct back to work meetings, probationary meetings and performance reviews.
- AAT Level 4.
- At least 5 years experience in accounting.
- Previous people management experience.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Competent with Xero.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience within the real estate industry is desirable but not essential.
- Free on-site parking.
