Our client is looking for an experienced, driven and customer-focused Assistant Lettings Manager to join their growing lettings team.
Working closely with the Lettings Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the lettings department, helping to deliver a smooth and efficient service to landlords, tenants and applicants.

You’ll support the team with valuations, applicant management, viewings, negotiations, progression and ensuring properties are let efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities
- Achieve agreed monthly targets, KPIs and banking objectives through effective negotiation and deal management.
- Respond to landlord, tenant and applicant enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Build and maintain strong landlord relationships through regular communication and proactive account management.
- Qualify applicants and offers, negotiate terms and support colleagues with negotiations where required.
- Lead by example within the team, providing guidance, support and assistance to colleagues when needed.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities through prospecting, generating valuation appointments and developing the landlord database.
- Conduct market appraisals, provide accurate rental advice and secure new instructions.
- Assist with the preparation, monitoring and recording of departmental performance figures and reports.
- Develop and implement initiatives to increase property stock, attract new landlords and strengthen the company’s position within the local market.
- Monitor the progression of agreed lets, ensuring transactions move forward efficiently and delegating tasks to team members where appropriate.
- Take responsibility for ongoing personal development, enhancing industry knowledge and continually improving professional skills.
- Ensure all activity is carried out in accordance with current legislation, industry regulations and company procedures.
- Undertake any additional duties or responsibilities reasonably requested by the Lettings Manager or Directors.
Skills
- Previous experience within residential lettings, ideally with experience supporting or supervising a lettings team.
- Strong knowledge of the residential lettings process, from instruction and marketing through to offer, referencing and move-in.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to support the Lettings Manager and wider team effectively.
- Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with landlords, tenants and applicants.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and provide effective support to the Lettings Manager and wider team.
- A natural team player with the confidence to lead by example, support colleagues and contribute to the continued success of the lettings department.
