A leading UK manufacturing business within the cold roll-forming and engineering sector is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team. This is a full‐time permanent role offering long‐term stability, training and progression within a modern manufacturing environment. The role is based on a Monday to Friday day shift (37 hours per week), with a starting salary of £36,000 rising to £38,000 following training, plus potential annual bonus and share scheme participation.
This position would suit a time‐served Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Technician with strong manufacturing experience and a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Reactive maintenance on manufacturing machinery
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Mechanical fault diagnosis and repair
- Hydraulic and pneumatic fault‐finding
- Mechanical fitting, welding and fabrication
- Support production by reducing downtime
- Record maintenance activities accurately
