I'm currently recruiting an In-Form Release Manager for a charity that operates at the national level on homelessness in England - representing over 900 organisations, holding the sector's data, and lobbying government to actually change how the UK handles homelessness. The infrastructure behind the whole sector is supported by their own Salesforce-based case management platform, used by 350+ organisations and 24,000+ frontline staff to support people experiencing homelessness. This role owns the full release process for that product end to end. When a release goes well, frontline homelessness workers across England get better tools the next day.
The role reports to the Head of Product and sits at the centre of the product organisation. You’ll work alongside Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, Marketing and Training to plan releases, coordinate customer upgrades and prepare both internal teams and customers for product change. It is as much about communication, documentation and stakeholder coordination as it is about process ownership.
Key Skills- Strong release management capability in a commercial SaaS or product-led software environment
- Excellent written communication, with the ability to produce clear release notes, knowledge articles and customer-facing communications
- Confident cross-functional coordinator, comfortable convening Product, Engineering and customer-facing teams around release readiness
- Practical judgement around phased rollouts, version adoption and managing change across multiple customer environments
- Experience coordinating software releases or product updates in a commercial SaaS environment
- Salesforce ecosystem experience strongly preferred, particularly around managed packages, customer org upgrades or push upgrades
- Demonstrable experience producing release artefacts, product documentation or knowledge base content
- Experience delivering internal enablement or knowledge transfer sessions to support and customer-facing teams
£56,145 fully remote or £60,423 hybrid with minimum 2 days per week in the London head office.
