Peaple Talent has partnered with a leading provider of software solutions based in Poole, recruiting a skilled QA/Test Engineer for their growing testing team. You will work within the Product Engineering team alongside the Product and Development teams in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality delivery of their product range.
You will play an essential role in the end-to-end testing process across all products, delivering high-quality software and solutions by providing clients with assurance of system quality and security through accurate testing, reporting, and documentation. The role focuses on designing, executing, and documenting test cases and automated test scripts, identifying bugs, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product releases.
Note: This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Preparation:
- Analyze functional and technical requirements to develop detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand project goals and ensure test coverage.
- Perform automated and manual testing of web, mobile, and API-based applications.
- Conduct functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing as needed.
- Execute test cases; document test results and raise bugs.
- Identify, record, and track bugs and defects through to closure.
- Work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth testing cycles and timely issue resolution.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing lifecycles (STLC), and defect lifecycle.
- Proficient in automated and manual testing techniques for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Experience in test planning and raising bugs in JIRA.
- Working knowledge of API test tools such as Postman.
- Working knowledge of web testing tools such as Selenium.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation and testing.
- Knowledge of agile and modern testing techniques.
- Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of testing in AWS cloud services.
- Basic knowledge and experience of automation testing tools.
- Experience with non-functional testing tools.
- Experience with end-to-end test tools such as DetoxP.
