An established engineering and manufacturing business in Oxford is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team.
This is a technical design role suited to someone with strong Solid Works experience who is comfortable designing complex components and understands what it takes to get a design from CAD into production.
You don't need to come from automotive or motorsport — the business is open to engineers from a range of manufacturing and engineering environments.
The Role
You'll be responsible for designing and developing components and products, with a particular focus on complex 3D modelling, surfacing and design for manufacture.
Key responsibilities include
- Creating detailed 3D models and designs using Solid Works.
- Designing complex components featuring compound curves and organic geometry.
- Producing engineering drawings and manufacturing information.
- Designing with CNC machining and production processes in mind.
- Taking designs from initial concept through to manufacture.
- Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical and achievable.
- Developing and improving existing products and components.
What We're Looking For

- 5+ years' Solid Works experience.
