We’re looking for a proactive Tier 1 NOC Engineer who enjoys troubleshooting network issues, working in fast-paced support environments, and delivering exceptional service across enterprise and carrier networks. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their networking career within a highly collaborative and technically driven team.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including the OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience troubleshooting broadband and leased line products including FTTC, FTTP, and Ethernet services
- Hands-on exposure to networking technologies such as Juniper, Fortinet, or MikroTik environments
- Basic understanding of routing and networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, and VPN technologies (IPsec/SSL)
- Familiarity with SD-WAN, MPLS, and wide-area networking architectures
- Experience working with network monitoring and alerting tools such as SolarWinds or Zabbix
- Ability to manage incidents from initial fault through to resolution while maintaining clear ticket updates
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, carriers, and internal technical teams
- Ability to thrive within a 24/7 operational environment and manage effective shift handovers
Nice to Have
- CCNA, JNCIA, NSE 4, or equivalent networking certifications
- Experience working with UK carriers such as Openreach or Virgin Media
- Exposure to LAN, WLAN, MPLS, or SD-WAN customer environments
- Experience using ticketing and incident management systems
