Head of Data Analytics – Specialty Insurance

The foundations have been laid, so we are looking for someone who is excited to build the next level of this organisation\’s MI capabilities. You\’ll work closely with IT and Data Engineering, along with heavy collaboration with heads of underwriting, claims, risk, exposure management and others.

Upon joining, you will manage a team of highly-experienced MI analysts, translating business requirements from your internal customers along with creating new solutions in partnership with them. The ideal individual will come to the table with innovative propositions in both business and advanced analytics, underpinned by an excellent understanding of the specialty insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Heads across all business areas
• Support advancement in the business\’ data analytics capabilities and strategy
• Manage a team of expert analysts
• Spearhead efforts in Advanced Analytics, ML and AI
• Work closely with IT and Data Engineering, creating new opportunities for data usage

Requirements

• Strong specialty insurance knowledge
• Deep understanding of one or more key insurance business areas; underwriting, exposure management, claims etc.
• Demonstrable experience managing a senior team
• Diverse knowledge of, and ideas for, innovative data use, along with a strong grasp of business analytics
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders
