Production Engineer Colchester | Up to 42,000 | Permanent A leading engineering manufacturer in Colchester is looking for a hands-on Production Engineer to join its growing production engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, improving manufacturing processes, solving production issues and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Role The Production Engineer will support production across new and existing products, working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering teams to improve safety, quality, productivity and efficiency. Key responsibilities include: * Providing day-to-day engineering support to production. * Investigating and resolving manufacturing and process issues. * Improving and standardising manufacturing processes. * Leading Lean and Continuous Improvement activities. * Reducing waste, downtime, scrap and rework. * Supporting new equipment, tooling and automation projects. * Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation and work instructions. * Working with suppliers during equipment installation and commissioning.
