The Role:
- Resolve escalated technical issues and proactively monitor/maintain core IT infrastructure and systems.
- Manage and administer Windows Servers, VMware environments, SQL databases, and Exchange/Microsoft 365 services.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and security patching to minimise risk and ensure continuity.
- Collaborate with suppliers, colleagues, and wider IT teams, taking ownership of delegated tasks and projects.
- Create, update, and maintain clear documentation, policies, and procedures (including ISO 27001 requirements).
The Candidate:
- Strong background as an IT Infrastructure Engineer with solid customer service and communication skills.
- Expertise in Windows Server/Windows OS, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Skilled in network configuration and troubleshooting, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Experienced with Azure administration, Endpoint Manager, and Backup/Disaster Recovery tools such as Veeam and Zerto.
