A South West food and ecommerce business (1,000+ co-owners, B Corp, genuinely values-led) is going through a major ERP transformation and needs someone to own the testing piece end-to-end. There's no strategy, no automation framework, no playbook. You'd be building it.
It's a 50/50 role. Half hands-on testing across the ERP rollout and wider enterprise systems. Half defining how testing actually gets done at the business going forward, working with software engineers to embed it as a discipline rather than a tick‑box at the end.
You'll report into the Director of Enterprise Solutions and work directly with a hiring manager who knows exactly what good looks like and wants someone he can build alongside.
What you'd be doing:
- Owning the test strategy across ERP integrations, platform development, and system changes
- Hands‑on testing with a strong focus on API and integration testing
- Building a pragmatic automation approach from scratch
- Influencing engineers and stakeholders to make quality a shared responsibility
- Coordinating release validation and performance testing across the programme
What you'll need:
- Experience leading or owning testing on enterprise systems
- Strong API and integration testing background
- Some exposure to ERP or large transformation programmes
- The personality to win people over in a business where everyone has a voice
Why it's worth a look:
- Genuine ownership, you’re defining how this works, not inheriting someone else’s setup
- Employee‑owned, so you’ll be a co‑owner with actual influence
- Hybrid, with weekly presence at their Devon HQ (ideal if you’re between Exeter and Plymouth, or nearby)
- 33 days holiday, tax‑free profit share, EV salary sacrifice, 30% off product
- B Corp, recently ranked 53rd in the UK’s Top 100 Best Companies to Work For
