We’re partnered with a growing UK business who are looking for a specialist Cloud Engineer to lead the technical delivery of a Microsoft 365 and Azure tenant separation. This is not a general Microsoft 365 administration role. They need someone who has delivered tenant-to-tenant migration or tenant separation work before and understands the sequencing, risk, dependencies and cutover planning involved.

You’ll be owning the clean separation of identities, mailboxes, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams data, domains and security configuration between tenants, with minimal disruption to the business. The role will suit someone who can take genuine ownership of the technical delivery, stay calm under pressure and communicate clearly with technical teams, business stakeholders and third-party providers.

Key experience they’re looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering at least one end-to-end Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration or tenant separation
  • Strong Exchange Online migration experience, including mailboxes, domains, mail flow and coexistence
  • Strong Entra ID experience, including identity migration, Conditional Access, MFA and security policy rebuilds
  • Experience with tools such as Quest On Demand, BitTitan MigrationWiz or ShareGate
  • Confident DNS cutover experience across MX, Autodiscover, SPF, DKIM and DMARC
  • Strong PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API skills for bulk migration, validation and reporting
  • Experience producing migration runbooks, cutover plans, rollback plans and stakeholder checkpoints
  • Intune / endpoint migration experience would be useful but isn’t essential

This is a specialist contract for someone who has done this type of work before, understands the risk involved and can lead the separation from planning through to post-cutover stabilisation. Initial 6 month contract, London based with hybrid working.
