Peaple Talent have partnered with a renewing client looking to recruit a Data Centre Technician. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in server build, deployment, and troubleshooting. This role is full-time on-site in the Hampshire area.
A key part of this role will be providing customer support to clients ensuring service levels are maintained and the ticketing system is fully up to date within the data centre.
Key Responsibilities:- Deploy and maintain customized IT environments tailored to specific internal and third-party applications, utilising hardware solutions from a broad range of network, server, and storage vendors.
- Manage service requests through internal support platforms, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues in accordance with service level agreements. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, adjusting configurations, and replacing hardware components across various managed infrastructure assets, including servers, switches, firewalls, and storage systems.
- Set up, configure, and optimize intelligent power distribution units (PDUs) to ensure efficient power usage tracking and load distribution.
- Previous experience as a Data Centre Technician, or working in a Data Centre environment.
- Must satisfy the criteria for SC and BPSS security clearance, including successful completion of the necessary vetting processes.
- Capable of performing effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining precision and exercising sound judgement in decision-making.
- Strong command of both written and spoken communication, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
- A valid UK driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
