Looking for someone who’s building a career in law or commercial contracts — not a qualified lawyer yet, but heading that way. This is a hands-on legal/commercial support role where you’ll sit right in the middle of supplier contracts, customer agreements, and day-to-day commercial operations. You’ll be working closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and external suppliers to help manage contracts from start to finish — drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and keeping everything commercially sound and organised.
What you’ll be doing
- Commercial Contracts
- Drafting, reviewing, and helping negotiate a range of contracts (supplier agreements, NDAs, MSAs, SaaS/tech agreements, terms & conditions, SOWs, amendments, terminations, etc.)
- Making sure contracts are commercially sensible and aligned with internal risk appetite
- Keeping contract records accurate, tracked, and up to date (renewals, key terms, obligations)
- Supplier Management
- Acting as a key contact for supplier and tech partner contract queries
- Supporting supplier onboarding (commercial, legal, and compliance checks)
- Working with internal teams to make sure supplier arrangements actually work operationally
- Stakeholder Support
- Giving clear, practical contract guidance to Sales and wider teams (no legal jargon overload)
- Supporting bids and commercial proposals by flagging risks and dependencies early
- Helping with customer/supplier questionnaires (including cyber and data requests)
What we’re looking for
- Essential
- Some experience working with commercial contracts or supplier agreements
- Understanding of contract basics: risk, negotiation, and commercial terms
- Comfortable working with structured documents and detail-heavy work
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Good communicator — able to deal with both internal teams and external suppliers
- Nice to have
- Exposure to tech/SaaS/reseller or service-based contracts
- Experience using contract management systems or contract registers
- Awareness of data protection or information security requirements in contracts
The fit
This suits someone who:
- Is early in their legal/commercial career (or building towards it)
- Wants real exposure to contracts and commercial decision-making
- Is driven, structured, and not afraid of detail
- Wants progression into more senior legal/commercial roles over time
If you want something that gets you deep into real commercial contracts (not just admin), this is a solid step in that direction.
