A technology-driven organisation is looking for a hands-on Cyber Security professional to help strengthen and evolve its security capability. This role blends security engineering, tooling, governance, and incident response in a modern cloud-focused environment. You’ll translate security requirements into practical technical controls, support secure project delivery, and continuously improve security tooling and processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain security standards, baselines, and hardening guidance
  • Support architectural governance and provide security input into projects
  • Own and enhance key security tools (Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Tenable, CASB)
  • Track control effectiveness through KPIs, dashboards, and reporting
  • Lead security initiatives and produce technical documentation and evidence packs
  • Support deployment of new security controls alongside the Security Architect
  • Lead incident response, including escalations, coordination, and post-incident reviews
  • Work closely with IT and Digital teams to provide practical security guidance

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in cyber security operations, engineering, or incident response
  • Hands-on expertise with Defender, Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR), Tenable, CASB, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
  • Experience delivering security improvements and technical control implementation
  • PowerShell or automation scripting skills
  • Solid understanding of frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, OWASP
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to Have

  • Security certifications (Security+, CEH, CySA+, cloud security certs)
  • SOC/MDR experience
  • Knowledge of IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls, and endpoint protection
  • Experience with GDPR, Cyber Essentials+, SOC2, or PCI-DS
