Peaple Talent are working with an established technology business that is expanding its IT services team. They are looking for a 1st–2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join a close-knit technical team, supporting a range of business customers and gaining exposure to a broad mix of Microsoft, networking, cloud and security technologies. The Role: Take ownership of incoming support requests, working across phone, email and the service desk to resolve issues within agreed timescales. Troubleshoot a range of user, hardware, software, connectivity and Microsoft-related problems, escalating where required. Support customer environments across Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Windows devices. Assist with user onboarding, equipment setup, account changes and endpoint deployments, including occasional customer site visits. Keep customers updated throughout the support process while contributing to documentation, knowledge sharing and service improvements. The Candidate: Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk or service desk position, ideally within an MSP or customer-facing environment. Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, with exposure to Entra ID or Intune advantageous. Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and wireless connectivity. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users. Organised, customer-focused and keen to develop technically across infrastructure, cloud and security.
