We’re supporting a client looking for an experienced Web Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across a customer-facing web platform and its associated services.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone passionate about architecture, engineering quality and improving the reliability of business-critical digital services. You’ll work across internal and external teams to set standards and guide the ongoing development of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the technical direction and engineering standards for the web platform.
- Lead improvements to platform architecture, supporting scalable and maintainable web services.
- Guide internal teams and external partners, ensuring consistent development and release standards.
- Establish effective code review, security, testing and CI/CD practices.
- Oversee platform reliability, monitoring, incident management and continuous improvement.
- Support the management of cloud services, including security, performance and cost.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience leading the development of large-scale, customer-facing web platforms.
- Experience working with APIs, microservices and headless content management systems.
- Experience with AWS and supporting production cloud environments.
- A strong understanding of engineering standards, DevSecOps and release governance.
- Ability to influence technical teams, third-party partners and senior stakeholders.
