We are a housing provider in Macclesfield with over 5000 properties across East Cheshire and the surrounding areas. We are ambitious with plans to build more homes, regenerate local areas and invest in our properties. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Surveyor to join our team to ensure the quality of housing stock meets required legislative and regulatory standards through effective surveying, planning, and the management of consultants and contractors.

You will engage with tenants to ensure the smooth delivery of required works in terms of time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will also be required to independently manage contractors and consultants, lead on project delivery from scoping through to completion and ensure compliance with legislative standards including HHSRS, Decent Homes, and Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation).
In addition, you will be responsible for developing specifications, costing and procuring works, managing budgets and ensuring programmes are delivered on time and to the required quality. The successful candidate will have excellent project management, contract administration, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to engage effectively with residents and partner organisations.
You will have gained experience within a construction, maintenance or social housing environment with experience of managing contractors and consultants. You will also have the ability to produce specifications and possess good operational knowledge of health and safety in relation to the building industry. A Technical, trade or energy qualification in a construction based discipline is desirable.
