Head Chef needed for a very busy Café in the Peak District. The salary is £36,000 with normal working hours during the daytime, although weekends will be required. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sous chef or existing Head Chef looking for sociable hours.
The café restaurant serves an array of fresh meals and snacks from early morning until early evening, often servicing over 250 covers a day. As Head Chef, you are expected to be well presented, friendly, enthusiastic, and willing to give 100% while being very hands-on.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing all fresh food in-house, including baking cakes and scones
- Creating all menus and daily specials
- Running the kitchen and managing sections
- Stock control and ordering
The ideal candidate will have kitchen experience within a very fast-paced restaurant/café environment. The successful applicant will receive an excellent starting salary plus good tips. Shifts will be 5 in 7 days, primarily during the daytime with most weekends required.
