The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This is a new role within an energetic and rapidly growing business and a reflection of the broadening scale and diversity of our projects. Bringing an H&S professional into the team is an important step in our journey in pursuit of H&S excellence and will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to shape and implement the strategy for the next phase of our business.
Whilst the role should provide support to the company across all business units, the focus will be on Project Delivery and Asset Management – a reflection of where the key H&S opportunities and risks reside.
A key purpose of the role is to work collaboratively within the business and with our key stakeholders, including our network of contractors to improve standards of quality, health, and safety in everything that we do. We are not looking for a compliance driven auditor for this role, rather an operationally focussed expert with a roll-your-sleeves up can-do attitude to continual improvement in support of the business’s broader objectives, deliver a H&S improvement including site and document inspection, providing guidance and training to the business in relation to health and safety management, hazardous materials, waste management, occupational safety and health and construction safety regulations and supporting the implementation of our Health and Safety management systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Onboarding new contractors (EPC and O&M) through our PQQ process and managing a register of approved contractors including routine subsequent inspections.
- Provide support to a team of Project Managers in implementing the company’s CDM process.
- Provide support to a team of Asset Managers in ensuring the ongoing safe management of the assets.
- Help to shape and evolve the operational processes to further embed H&S excellence within Project Delivery and Asset Management as part of a developing H&S management system.
- Coordinate incident responses and the subsequent distribution of safety alerts.
- Work with external H&S advisory support teams to develop and implement the business H&S strategy.
- Advise the business on standards and best practice.

- Ability to be extremely organised, multi-task and work well as part of a team.
