Our client is a leading global food producer with operations spanning multiple regions.
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Food Safety Technician to join their Quality team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers flexibility in working hours to suit the right candidate, whether you\’re seeking full-time or part-time employment.
As a key member of their Quality function, you’ll play a vital role in upholding food safety standards across the site, and amongst suppliers. You’ll be a confident communicator, comfortable engaging with colleagues at all levels and external stakeholders, including auditors and suppliers. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with third-party organisations will be essential in representing our client professionally and effectively.

Location: Onsite – Factory
Contract Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible)
Responsibilities
- Engage with the business to ensure food safety and system requirements are continually improved and communicated.
- Maintain supplier approval and quality assurance, including vulnerability assessments and horizon scanning.
- Support completion of internal audit schedule, HACCP review system and document control.
- Manage Technical Support inbox. Providing questionnaires, statements, certifications and answering customers’ technical inquiries. Provide technical advice to Sales team.
- Co-ordinate new specification and labels generation though collaboration with internal departments to ensure any new products comply with current legislation.
- Undertake hands on training sessions across the business on key food safety requirements, induction and support ongoing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a food manufacturing environment, from a quality, food safety or specifications function.
- Ideally degree qualified in a technical/food background.
- Knowledge of GFSI certification and related ISO standards is highly desirable.
- Lives locally, with the right to work.
