Our client is a leading global producer within the process and food industry. The Control Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing new electrical, control and automation systems for use within our clients food processing production process, with the ability to solve existing control and automation issues and provide innovative solutions and designs.
You will be expected to provide support to the production process by assessing and troubleshooting systems already installed, provide technical and engineering support and advice to other Departments, and requires somebody who is able to code PLCs and design & modify various HMI/SCADA control programs with experience working with electrical systems.

Qualifications:- Degree qualified in Control or Electrical Engineering, with 5 years practical experience within the process industries
- Practical experience of programming PLC and HMIs
- Drafting of wiring diagrams and layouts using AutoCAD would be an advantage
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
- Good working knowledge of electrical control and design is essential
- Knowledge of electrical design standards is required
- A practical understanding of field bus technologies, how and where they are used
- Experience of programming using Siemens Step 7, SCL and Portal would be an advantage
- Right to work in the UK, with English language fluency
- Full time on-site role
- Salary: Open to experience
