About the Role
- Oversee the accurate receipt of prescriptions at the medicines counter and verify stock availability upon acceptance.
- Prepare and label prescriptions promptly and accurately, ensuring they are ready for pharmacist.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies with prescriptions.
- Confirm patient identity and provide guidance on how to use prescribed medication, where appropriate.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including prescription endorsements and register entries.
- Dispense medication into monitored dosage systems or compliance aids when needed.
- Manage the ordering, collection, and delivery of repeat prescriptions, ensuring records are kept and patient consent is obtained.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, order necessary items, and ensure proper stock rotation.
