As we soar to new heights, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Aviation Sales Director to join our dynamic team and oversee the sales operations of one of our supported platforms.
Position Overview: As an Aviation Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our sales operations, contributing to the growth and success of our established company in the aviation industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience in selling airframe rotable parts to airlines who operate A320/737NG/E-Jet in North America.
- Establish, maintain and develop business in the region with airlines and MROs.
- Identify and cultivate potential pooling agreements, repair management agreements, sales and exchanges for engine LRUs, nacelles, structures and components.
- Identify and help facilitate opportunities for the acquisition of aircraft, engines and inventory from airline customers.
- Assist in submitting proposals and quotations to prospective customers.
- Follow up on ongoing projects and proposals and work to ensure their successful closure.
- Build solid customer relations with key decision-makers in the customers' organisations who are influential in acquiring the goods and services.
- Support contract negotiations and follow up on outstanding credit issues with customers.
- Collaborate with Product Line Directors to ensure that those parts that are in greatest demand by customers in the region and most likely to generate sales are in stock in serviceable condition and that the customers most likely to purchase those parts are aware of this and contact preferred supplier whenever a requirement exists.
- Collaborate with Product Line Directors on tactics to sell items that are in stock to airline customers in the region.
- Prepare and present reports on the region as required.
- Visits customers and prospects to build relationships and promote business. Travel to customers and prospects is essential to the success of this role.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Proven experience in airline selling or purchasing airframe rotable parts to airlines who operate A320/737NG/E-Jet in North America.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and nurturing relationships, establishing partnerships, and building strategic alliances with customers.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills to inspire and lead a high-performance sales team.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a keen focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- High-energy personality, meticulous attention to detail, thorough, and highly organized.
