A supportive and inclusive primary school in Harrow is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision for pupils with Complex Needs and Autism (ASD). What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing 1:1 and small‑group support within the SEN unit
- Assisting with sensory activities, communication strategies and structured routines
- Helping pupils regulate, engage and access learning
- Supporting behaviour plans and personalised learning approaches
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEN team
- Contributing to a positive, calm and inclusive environment
- Supporting personal care where required
Who We’re Looking For
- Someone engaging, patient and genuinely passionate about supporting children
- Confident working with pupils with ASD and complex needs
- Happy to get fully involved and hands‑on
- A team player with resilience and a proactive attitude
- Experience with SEN is desirable, but the right mindset and willingness to learn are just as important
Requirements
- A DBS on the Update Service (essential)
- Full‑time availability, Monday–Friday
- Able to start straight after the Easter break
- Commitment to supporting the school and its pupils
