About the School’s Central HR Function This role sits within a large, well‑structured central HR team supporting multiple campuses. The HR function is known for its strong systems, high compliance standards and collaborative working culture. You’ll gain broad HR generalist exposure across recruitment, safeguarding checks, payroll preparation, employee lifecycle administration and HR reporting — all within a supportive, process‑driven environment. The Role You will support the HR function with: Comprehensive administrative support across HR operations, Recruitment coordination, compliance checks and onboarding/offboarding, Maintaining an accurate and compliant Single Central Register, Processing references, DBS checks, qualification verification and right‑to‑work documentation, Managing personnel files, HR systems and monthly payroll data, Tracking absence, probation documentation and HR reporting, Supporting the School Workforce Census, Ensuring HR policies, processes and documentation remain up to date, Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries with professionalism and confidentiality, Contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes and systems Person Specification Essential: * Level 2 qualifications (Grade C/4+) in English, Maths and Science * Strong organisational and administrative skills * Excellent written and verbal communication * Ability to absorb information quickly and work under pressure * Confident using IT packages * High attention to detail * Understanding of confidentiality * Reliable, responsible and able to work independently and as part of a team * Adaptable, proactive and able to find solutions Highly Desirable: * Previous School HR experience You will also need an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undergo a new check for the role.
