An all-through diverse faith school based in Hayes is seeking a qualified Female Subject Lead of PE starting September. This is a full-time temporary position working Monday to Friday term time. The duration is maternity cover until the end of the 2026 Academic Year. This school has an earlier start time of 7.45am and an earlier finish time of 3pm.

The PE Department instils a love for PE and wants their pupils to experience excellent physical education, school sport, and health and fitness that will lead to lifelong skills promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. Pupils are empowered to achieve the best grades possible, which will allow them to pursue any future career in sport.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Create and design innovative lessons to stretch and challenge learners
  • Play a pivotal role in working to support the secondary academy in the outstanding achievement of their students
  • Be responsible for the strategic development of all aspects of PE learning and attainment in the department whilst developing and supporting them in creating outstanding practice.

Requirements:

  • Current/previous experience of PE Subject Lead or are ready to become a Subject Lead
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Relevant degree
  • DBS on the update service or be willing to undergo a new check
  • The right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship)
  • A willingness to be challenged and not afraid of challenge
  • Following the ethos of the faith school (vegetarian school)
