A well-regarded secondary academy in East London is seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately on a long-term supply basis. This is a unique opportunity to apply your healthcare knowledge in an educational setting, supporting a pupil with significant medical needs.

About the Role:
You’ll be working closely with a pupil who requires specialist medical support throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing stoma care and administering medication
- Responding appropriately to medical situations involving central lines or mic-key buttons
- Promoting dignity, safety, and independence in a classroom setting
Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and confidence in managing medical responsibilities.
Essential Requirements:
- DBS registered on the Update Service
- Educated to at least GCSE level (Grade C or above in Maths and English)
- Prior experience supporting pupils with complex needs, including SLD and PMLD
