This role is broad and varied. You will look after a mixed portfolio of supporters and prospects and take the lead on building a pipeline of potential supporters, creating high impact proposals and pitches, and building long-term meaningful relationships with grant makers, businesses and individual donors. Just as importantly, you will grow a genuine community of supporters who feel personally connected to the Park - through appeals and other ways for people to get involved - and you will have the opportunity to explore and develop new fundraising streams to support the Foundation's long-term sustainability.
We are looking for a talented individual with excellent relationship building skills and a passion for the Park to enhance and maximise the fundraising potential at the Foundation. The Peak District Foundation has grown substantially in recent years - raising over £1 million in 2025/26 - and you can help build on this as we move into the next chapter of the organisation., The Peak District is the UK's oldest National Park - a landscape of moorlands, dales, farmland and villages that holds a special place in the hearts of millions. But like protected landscapes across the country, it faces real and growing pressures: from climate change, habitat loss, and threats to the Park's heritage, to barriers that prevent many communities from connecting with it. At the Foundation, we fund and deliver projects to:
- Protect our peatlands: some of the most degraded upland peatland in Europe
- Restore nature and support biodiversity
- Connect people and communities to nature
- Improve access: repairing degraded paths and improving access for those with disabilities
- Protect the Park's irreplaceable heritage sites
We are a small, supportive team who value collaboration, curiosity, kindness and getting stuck in. We love the Peak District and we work with partners, communities and experts to deliver meaningful, lasting impact., Interviews will take place on 28th and 29th September in person at our HQ in Bakewell. We are happy to reimburse travel costs for attending in-person interviews.
