We’re looking for a Ranger Team Leader to oversee our dedicated team in the northern and western areas of the Peak District National Park, one of the UK’s most cherished landscapes. This is a rare opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of work across access, public engagement, and nature conservation, while helping shape the future of the UK’s original Ranger Service.

The job will include working 1 weekend in 4, with an additional allowance paid.

Post-holder must have the ability to travel to meetings and events as required by the duties of the post.

About You

You will have proven experience of managing and developing people, including volunteers, and a track record of delivering high quality engagement activities and practical conservation and/or rights of way work. You will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, being comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders, including water companies, private landowners, emergency services, and the public. You\\\’ll have some budget management experience and an interest in continual improvement in various areas, for example volunteering, data monitoring and communications.

About Us

Benefits

We offer a range of staff benefits including flexi-time, a high-quality defined benefit pension scheme (2 years to qualifying period), 26-31 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase more, volunteering leave and free parking at most of our offices.
