What will you do?

You’ll be part of our specialist

Private Client team (headed up by Julie Fitzpatrick) handling matters on a cradle-to-grave basis .

Your Work Will Primarily Focus On Short Form And Detailed Bills For Assessment In Court Of Protection Matters, Including (but Not Limited To)

  • Deputyship Applications
  • Annual General Management matters
  • Statutory Will Applications
  • Inheritance Act Claims

You’ll manage your own caseload, work closely with colleagues and Clients, and play an active role in shaping how we work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting Short Form Bills and Detailed Bills for assessment in Court of Protection matters
  • Preparing costs estimates for Form OPG105
  • Advising on outcomes of assessments at the SCCO, including preparing appeals and completing Bill Summaries
  • Drafting Non-Contentious Probate Bills
  • Drafting Contentious Probate Bills
  • Drafting Contentious Probate Costs Budgets
  • Preparing clear, detailed advice to clients at all stages of the costing process
  • Making full use of all case management and drafting software provided
  • Attending internal and external training workshops, conferences, and seminars where required
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Experienced in Private Client and/or Court of Protection costs work
  • Comfortable running their own caseload independently
  • Highly organised, efficient, and reliable
  • Detail-focused, with strong drafting skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage competing deadlines
