An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Peak Ales Ltd, an expanding independent brewery with a strong and loyal following across Derbyshire. We are currently seeking a part-time Brewery Drayman to support our growing production and delivery operation based at our brewery in Ashford-in-the-Water. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, self-motivated and enjoys working as part of a small team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Trade deliveries to pubs and clubs
  • Home deliveries to retail customers
  • Assisting the brewery team as required

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Hold a current full clean UK Driving Licence (minimum age 25 years for insurance purposes)
  • Be physically fit with the ability to manually handle casks weighing up to 52 kg
  • Have a reasonable level of computer literacy
  • Be methodical, organised and able to self-manage
  • Have a professional approach with good attention to detail
  • Work well as part of a team and demonstrate excellent people skills

Position Details

  • Permanent, part-time position
  • Initially 16 hours per week – with flexibility to cover holidays and illness
  • Wednesday and Thursday day shifts
  • Pay: National Living Wage
  • Holiday allowance: 28 days pro rata (including public holidays)
  • Workplace pension available
  • Uniform provided
  • Start Date: 01 June 2026
  • Location: Peak Ales Ltd, 3–6 Park Farm Industrial Units, Longstone Lane, Ashford-in-the-Water, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1NH
