Position Details

  • Post: Cleaner
  • Location: Peak Academy
  • Salary: Grade B pt.2 FTE £24,413 pro rata. Actual Salary: £13,780
  • Contract Type: Permanent, part-time, term time only plus 2 weeks (41 weeks per year)
  • Contract Hours: 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus 2 weeks throughout Holidays.

About the role

Under the direction of the line manager, the cleaner will contribute to site cleanliness, ensuring all facilities are clean, available for use, and meet high standards of cleaning and hygiene throughout the school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general cleaning of school premises
  • Maintain hygiene
  • Use appropriate cleaning equipment and procedures
  • Work independently or as part of a team

Qualifications and Experience

  • Willingness to gain knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions, including COSHH regulations and an awareness of health and hygiene procedures
  • Willingness to gain knowledge of cleaning procedures required to meet specified cleaning standards and use appropriate equipment
  • Experience of general cleaning work
  • Ability to work on own or as part of a team
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
