In this role, you will be trained in the manufacture of hand‑made medical devices, such as insoles, shoes, braces, and adaptations for wheelchairs. This is not a ‘typical’ manufacturing environment, and you will be expected to learn several traditional craft‑based techniques using hand tools, so manual dexterity is preferable.
