Peacock Sourcing Limited are currently recruiting for a Door to Door Salesman to work for their well-established client based in Southwest London. In this role you will join a rapidly expanding business that offers Handyman and Cleaning/Housekeeping services to the local surrounding area. Our client is in need of a competent and talented Door to Door Salesman who can help grow the business and aid their marketing campaign.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have previous experience as a Marketing assistant, Salesman, Door to Door Salesman, Email marketer, or Sales assistant.
  • Have knowledge of handyman services such as fitting kitchens, painting and decorating, tiling, plastering, carpentry, etc.
  • Have fantastic presentation skills.
  • Be friendly, open, and honest.
  • Be able to speak and write in clear fluent English.
  • Have excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Be able to keep track of leads and act as an account manager for leads gathered.
  • Be able to build long-standing relationships with customers.
  • Be willing to travel to other areas in London to expand the search for leads.
  • Be punctual, arrive to work on time, and be both reliable and honest.
  • Be currently registered as self-employed or at least be willing to become so.
  • Currently live in London and be able to start ASAP.

Working Hours: Flexible Hours

Pay: This is a purely commission-based role with uncapped commission. The more leads you gather, the more money you will make. A motivated individual could secure 5 - 10 leads a day resulting in £100 - £200 a day or more. The commission structure will be fully explained at the interview if you are successful.

Duties: As a Door to Door Salesman, you will be expected to present your best self, as you are the face that all new customers will see, representing the company. You are expected to be friendly and polite when selling our services. In this role, you will target key areas that could benefit from handyman services by going door to door to both companies and individuals to see if they would be interested. You would be expected to travel to target areas further away from the company’s local area by Victoria station. The areas to be targeted will be discussed with the manager of the business, with whom you will work closely.

Any leads you acquire must be tracked, and therefore you are expected to act as an account manager to organise and keep on top of your work.

Further Information: This contract is indefinite as the business is rapidly expanding and ramping up work over the coming year. This role offers significant opportunities for growth inside the business based on the leads you gather.
