A specialist multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a motivated and technically strong Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join their design team. You’ll work on bespoke, technically challenging design-and-construct projects in regulated markets, collaborating directly with world-leading end-user clients.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including HV/LV distribution, lighting, fire detection/suppression, structured cabling and security/controls.
- Develop detailed design plans, specifications, equipment selections and schedules.
- Produce construction documents: layout drawings, single-line diagrams, equipment schedules, etc.
- Manage electrical aspects of projects from initial design through construction and commissioning.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with codes, standards and regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in building services design.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles and industry standards.
- Competent in design software and tools (e.g. Amtech/Trimble, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Excel).
- Commercial awareness and good project management/communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
