A well-established groundworks contractor based in the Central Belt of Scotland is looking to recruit an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support the delivery of a strong pipeline of projects across the region. The company delivers a range of groundworks and infrastructure packages for residential and commercial developments and has a steady workload across multiple live sites.
As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting site teams and ensuring accurate setting out across groundworks and infrastructure packages. Key responsibilities will include:
- Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, and external works
- Interpreting and working from technical drawings and site plans
- Carrying out as-built surveys and QA checks
- Working closely with site managers and subcontractors
- Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
- Ensuring work is delivered in line with design specifications and programme
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer within groundworks or civil engineering
- Experience setting out drainage, foundations, and roads
- Proficient with setting out equipment such as Leica, Trimble, or Topcon
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
