An established, design led architectural studio in Edinburgh is seeking a mid level Architectural Technologist to join their team as they continue to expand their residential and mixed use portfolio across Scotland. They have built a strong reputation for delivering high quality build to rent, large scale residential and urban mixed use schemes that balance commercial awareness with thoughtful design.
With a healthy pipeline of projects both in planning and on site, they are looking for someone who enjoys the technical challenge of complex developments and wants to play a key role in delivering them properly. This position is suited to a Technologist with solid UK experience who is confident producing detailed drawing packages and coordinating information through later RIBA stages.
They are particularly interested in candidates with strong Revit capability, as the studio operates within a BIM led environment and values clear, coordinated technical information. Revit experience is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage.
The successful candidate will be involved in the preparation of technical and construction information, ensuring compliance with current Scottish building regulations and working closely with consultants to resolve design and coordination issues. They will liaise with structural and MEP engineers, attend project meetings where required and support the delivery of information to site teams.
A good understanding of large residential detailing, fire strategy coordination and envelope interfaces would be beneficial. This is a full time, office based position in Edinburgh. They work five days per week from the studio and are looking for someone who values collaboration, learning by proximity and being fully embedded within a team environment.
The culture is professional, focused and delivery driven, with a genuine emphasis on producing well considered architecture rather than simply volume output. In return, they are offering a salary in the region of £36,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, alongside the opportunity to work on substantial urban projects that will strengthen and broaden a technologist’s portfolio.
The role offers clear responsibility, exposure to complex schemes and the chance to develop within a stable and growing practice. This would suit a proactive, detail oriented Architectural Technologist who enjoys working at pace, takes pride in technical accuracy and wants to be part of a studio where their contribution will be visible and valued.
Applications are welcomed from candidates who are confident in their technical ability, comfortable working within a structured office environment and ready to take the next step in their career within a respected Edinburgh practice.
