An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established SME fit-out and interiors contractor based in Edinburgh, operating across Edinburgh and the Central Belt. This business is recognised as a market leader in commercial office and hospitality fit-out, offering a full project lifecycle service from initial design and cost planning through to installation and project management. As part of their 2026 growth strategy, they are looking to appoint an Estimator who will play a key role in the next phase of the company’s development, with clear and genuine progression opportunities built into the role.
The Role
- Preparing detailed estimates and cost plans from drawings and specifications
- Working closely with design teams during early-stage feasibility and value engineering
- Subcontractor enquiries, analysis and procurement
- Attending pre-tender and post-tender meetings
- Supporting handover to project delivery teams
- Identifying risk and commercial opportunities within bids
About You
- Proven experience as an Estimator within fit-out, interiors or construction
- Strong understanding of commercial office and/or hospitality projects
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
- Commercially astute with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator able to work closely with clients, designers and subcontractors
- Ambitious and motivated, with a desire to progress into a senior or leadership role
