Peace Recruitment is currently working with a growing and well-respected Building Consultancy looking to strengthen its Glasgow team due to a sustained increase in workload across both private and public sector instructions. The business is looking to appoint Chartered Building Surveyors at Surveyor, Senior Surveyor and Associate Director levels and is keen to speak with commercially minded individuals who enjoy a varied workload, client-facing responsibilities and being part of a collaborative growing business. The Role: You will be involved in delivering a broad range of professional and project-led building surveying services across a varied client portfolio throughout Scotland and wider UK projects. Typical instructions include:

  • Building surveys and technical due diligence
  • Dilapidations and lease advisory work
  • Contract administration and project management
  • Planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • Defect analysis and condition surveys
  • Feasibility studies
  • Stock condition surveys
  • Public and private sector project work

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be MRICS Chartered (essential)
  • Hold a degree in Building Surveying or equivalent
  • Have previous consultancy experience within Building Surveying
  • Be confident managing multiple projects and professional instructions
  • Possess strong report writing and client-facing skills
  • Enjoy working within a collaborative team environment
  • Be comfortable supporting and mentoring junior surveyors / APC candidates
  • Be happy travelling across the UK when required for project work
