The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, the business is seeking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the West of Scotland. You will play a key role in managing the commercial delivery of high-profile projects, including:
- New Build Industrial Units – £10m
- Major Airport Extension – £35m
- Multiple £multi-million Hub Projects across West & Central Scotland
This is a rare opportunity to join a division where opportunities to recruit externally are few and far between.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the commercial function on projects, from tender through to final account.
- Prepare, submit and negotiate valuations and variations.
- Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting to the Commercial Manager / Director.
- Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and account management.
- Support project teams with contractual and commercial advice.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and maximise profitability.
- Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
About You
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills.
- Experience working on large-scale projects (£multi-million) across sectors such as industrial, commercial, healthcare, or infrastructure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
