Estimator – Groundworks
Location: Edinburgh

The Role
As a Groundworks Estimator, you’ll be responsible for managing the tendering process from start to finish, including:
- Preparing and submitting competitive tenders for groundworks and civil engineering projects
- Reviewing site investigation reports and assessing temporary works requirements
- Performing accurate take-offs and cost breakdowns
- Liaising with clients to clarify project scope and technical details
- Working closely with construction and project teams to ensure smooth handover and project success
This is a hands-on role where your input will directly impact commercial success and project delivery.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings one of the following:
- 3+ years’ estimating experience, OR
- 5+ years’ site-based experience (as a Site Engineer or Site Manager in civils/groundworks)
You’ll also have:
- A strong grasp of construction methods and the ability to interpret drawings and specs
- Solid communication and organisation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software and AutoCAD is a bonus
- A safety-first mindset and proactive approach to challenges
