A well-established and respected property consultancy in Edinburgh is looking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to support the continued growth of their commercial Building Surveying services. You’ll be joining a collaborative and experienced team, with the flexibility to manage your own workload and the support of hands-on leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver core Building Surveying services including technical due diligence, pre-acquisition surveys, and dilapidations
- Carry out reinstatement cost assessments, condition reports, and defect analysis
- Provide contract administration and project management support across commercial refurbishment and maintenance projects
- Produce detailed, high-quality reports and present findings to clients across private and public sectors
- Manage client relationships and contribute to the growth and reputation of the team
- Support and mentor junior surveyors as they progress through APC
Candidate Requirements:
- MRICS qualified (essential)
- Broad experience in commercial Building Surveying, ideally across a mix of professional and project work
- Knowledge of the Scottish property market, particularly Edinburgh and surrounding areas
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Self-motivated, client-focused, and commercially aware
