Assistant Project Manager – Construction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join a well-established and highly respected construction contractor delivering high-quality projects across Scotland.

The Role

You will support the Project Manager in the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with planning, programming, and coordination of site activities
• Supporting cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
• Assisting with health & safety compliance and quality assurance
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and site teams
• Managing project documentation and attending site and progress meetings

About You

Our client is looking for someone who is ambitious, organised, and eager to develop within a main contracting environment.

You will ideally have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a construction assistant project management / senior site manager role
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to work well within a team
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project reporting tools
